The post-Jobs era at Apple has been a success by most measures, with Apple continuing to be the dominant tech company in both market share and stock price.

Plus.google.com (Google+)

A social network owned and operated by Google was launched on June 28, 2011, in an attempt to challenge other social networks, linking other Google products like Google Drive, Blogger, and YouTube. The service has since experienced strong growth in its initial years. Usage statistics varied, depending on how the service was defined. Three Google executives oversaw the service, which underwent substantial changes that led to a redesign in November 2015.

Eventually, the Google+ developer API was discontinued on March 7, 2019, and Google+ was shut down for business use and consumers on April 2, 2019. Google+ continued to be available as “Google+ for G Suite”, and was later rebranded as “Google Currents.”

Google

This needs no introduction. Google’s rapid growth since its incorporation in 1998 has triggered a chain of products, acquisitions, and partnerships beyond Google’s core search engine (Google Search.) Google.com is the most visited website in the world. However, it only ranks 7th as it falls short on data traffic, links and organic keywords.Google

Baidu

Baidu is a Chinese multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products headquartered in Beijing. It is one of the largest AI and internet companies in the world. Baidu has the second largest search engine in the world and held a 76.05% market share in China’s search engine market.

Getting started with Youtube

Instagram

After its launch in 2010, Instagram rapidly gained popularity. With one million registered users in two months, 10 million in a year, and 1 billion as of May 2019, it quickly took the world by storm. In April 2012, Facebook acquired the service for approximately $1 billion in cash and stock. Over 40 billion photos had been uploaded to the service, since October 2015.  Since 2019, Instagram hosts around 500 million users daily.

Twitter

Twitter grew rapidly since its creation in Marc 2006, gaining worldwide popularity. In 2012, more than 100 million users posted 340 million tweets a day, and the service handled an average of 1.6 billion search queries per day. In 2013, it was one of the ten most-visited websites and has been described as “the SMS of the Internet.” Today it is the second most powerful website in terms of organic traffic, links earned and referring domains.

Facebook

Facebook is the most downloaded mobile app of the decade from 2010 to 2019 globally. They claimed to have had more than 2.3 billion monthly active users as of December 2018. However, it faces a big problem with fake accounts. It caught 3 billion fake accounts in the last quarter of 2018 and the first quarter of 2019. Many critics questioned whether Facebook knows how many actual users it has. But we are certain it is somewhere in the billions, which also comes without a surprise that it is also one of the most hated sites in the world.

Facebook

It comes to us by surprise that the top 3 websites are all social media sites. But interesting enough that only two search engines are on the top list. The list consists of mainly US-based companies. Baidu seems to be dominating the race when scaling upwards. These Chinese tech giants, like QQ and Wechat, are getting higher every year.
